Child Safety Policies

At Trinity, our congregation affirms that:

  • All children are a gift of God, created by God and created good.
  • All children depend upon adults for safety and security in a world that does not always value children.
  • We take seriously our baptismal vow to nurture all children committed into our care.

We have policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety and security for children and youth, as well as for the adults to whom they are entrusted.

  • All paid staff and volunteers who encounter children in their work at Trinity must have a clear background check.
  • Trinity will provide two non-related adults for all church sponsored activities involving children.
  • All staff and volunteers will participate in annual child safety training.

Children’s Ministries
COVID-19 Safety Policy:

We follow the California Department of Public Health’s Guidance for Use of Face Masks, updated for March 12, 2022. Since we are in a childcare and educational setting:

  • Masks are recommended but not required. We can provide masks for those who want one.
  • We meet indoors with the ventilation system running.
  • Children use individual toolboxes for art supplies.
  • We provide hand sanitizer, and running water is available for handwashing.
